About MICHELLE FREER

Michelle Freer is a multi-disciplinary designer who specialises in contemporary jewellery and graphic design. Michelle completed her Bachelor of Design at COFA in Sydney in 2005, majoring in jewellery and graphic design, and has since pursued both arms of her creative disciplines.
Michelle creates unique, handmade jewellery made predominately from acrylic and sterling silver. "I like to work with a whole range of materials from gemstones to plastics and I particular like to mix materials unconventionally."
"I take design inspiration from a wide realm of sources – life, love, art, culture, history, nature, literature and other designers too! Inspiration comes in so many diverse forms and often it is the process of creation is that inspires me most."
"Often themes carry through all elements of my work which is probably because of my multi-disciplinary design background. My jewellery often incorporates graphic and illustrative motifs and vice versa."
